Across the misty mountains
Beyond the cloudy hills
In a lost land of magic
A dragon lingers still
Once upon a fearful time
Dragons ruled the world
With tooth and claw and smoke and roar
And the bolts of fire they hurled
Heroes came to battle them
With arrow, sword and spear
And soon the mighty dragons
Began to disappear
They faded into mystery
And tales that people told
About the time so long ago
Before the world grew old
Now they’re mostly just a memory
A fairy tale or dream
Yet just one secret place remains
Where a dragon might be seen
You must journey very far
And you must journey long
To reach the land where you can hear
The last dragon’s song
And though you may hear a mighty roar
And feel a scorching flame
The dragon days are passed and gone
They will never fly again
